While it may not have seemed so to local residents, contractors for your new roundabout completed major construction rather quickly! Crews recently installed the signage, added shrubs to the island and painted high-visibility striping throughout the project boundaries.

 

Before reaching the intersection, drivers will know exactly which right turn to take to exit the roundabout.  You can see that the island has a low, slanted curb, so that large semi-trucks can maneuver through the roundabout and roll over the median a bit with no damage to either the vehicle or the island.

 

When entering the roundabout, be sure to look to the left and ensure you're in the clear. With no stop signs or signals, vehicles can go through the intersection more quickly - no more having to wait in line for everyone to take their turn one-at-a-time.
