Due to the frequent traffic and extensive wear on East Connell Street and the potential safety hazards presented by the deterioration of the road condition, as well as the need for East Connell Street to be an access road to help promote future economic development, the City of Mount Vernon has chosen this road as a project to be resurfaced and rehabilitated. East Connell Street is 0.30 miles long and located between GA Hwy 221 and North Robinson Street.
