Due to the frequent traffic and extensive wear of North Walker Street and the potential safety hazards presented by the deterioration of the road condition, as well as the need for North Walker Street to be an access road to help promote future economic development, the City of Mount Vernon has chosen this road as a project to be resurface and rehabilitated. North Walker Street is 0.31 miles long and is located off of West Martin Luther King Drive.
